It features a waterproofness up to 12,800 feet or 3900 meters. The case is a stainless steel case comprised of polished and brushed finishes. On the case is a unidirectional rotating stainless steel bezel with a black ceramic insert. The 3135 movement is a self-winding movement completely developed and manufactured by Rolex. The Rolex 3135 movement is COSC certified and has a 48-hour power reserve. The case features a helium escape valve which is used when divers, after a deep saturation dive must go into a decompression chamber where they breathe a mixture of gas that contains helium. The helium particles being very small, penetrate the case and are unable to escape the watch fast enough, threatening to push the crystal out of the case. The helium escape valve allows the diver to push the valve which is fitted with a spring which equalizes the pressure between inside the watch and the outside, which releases the helium and protects the watch from damage. The watch case is featured with a 904L Stainless Steel, which is highly corrosive resistant and easily polished. No matter the environment, the 904L steel maintains its flawless beauty.
The D-Blue dial is a two -color gradient dial starting at a vibrant blue to a deep black. This color shift on the dial represents James Cameron’s journey to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the deepest place on Earth. The Sapphire crystal is a domed 5mm thick, ensuring to withstand the harshest conditions.
